October 2, 2017

Lake of Isles Golf Resort at Foxwoods Casino

The 2017 Enterprise Builders Golf Tournament was a huge success! The event was held at the Lake of Isles Golf Resort at Foxwoods Casino on a beautiful October day. Over 160 golfers participated in this event, which was held by Enterprise Builders of Newington, CT to benefit veteran cancer patients through the CT Cancer Foundation (CCF). Enterprise Builders just recently completed the construction of the new CCF administrative center in Old Saybrook, CT. From the proceeds of this golf tournament, CCF will be able to assist CT veterans battling cancer with much needed financial aid. Thank you to Enterprise Builders and to all the golfers who hit the links to help CT veteran cancer patients! We hope to see you again in 2018!

2017 m.e.l.t.-a-thon Against Cancer

On May 20, 2017, the CT Cancer Foundation held our 3rd Annual m.e.l.t.-a-thon Against Cancer at Center Memorial Park in Manchester.  Sponsored by Joe Carabase and the m.e.l.t. gyms, the m.e.l.t.-a-thon was extremely successful, raising more than $21,000!  Our Ambassador this year was seventeen year-old Chris from East Hartford, who is battling leukemia.  Chris is an amazing person who inspired everyone with his story and his words of gratitude.  He even did the workout!

We would especially like to thank Joe and Shannon and the whole team at m.e.l.t, our dedicated Steering Committee, and our amazing top fundraisers for their commitment to this cause!
