Our Mission
DonateOur Mission
To financially assist Connecticut cancer patients and their families with basic living needs and to fund cancer research.
The Connecticut Cancer Foundation (CCF) is a non-profit with a 501(c)(3) designation. CCF is committed to reducing the burden of cancer for Connecticut cancer patients and their families.
Many cancer patients and families are suddenly confronted with insurmountable bills at a time when focusing on healing is critical to their recovery. CCF is able to quickly and compassionately ease their burden with direct financial assistance. CCF has found that even small gestures of support can be the jumpstart a patient needs to fight back against their illness.
CCF is a unique organization in Connecticut, providing direct financial assistance to Connecticut cancer patients for everyday living expenses such as rent/mortgage, utilities, car payments, medical co-pays, food, medications, and more. Patients are referred to CCF via a network of oncology social workers at Connecticut hospitals and cancer centers. Applicants are thoroughly screened by healthcare professionals who verify the financial need. Resources are provided with dignity and privacy, helping patients maintain self-respect while lessening the stress that may inhibit their recovery.
Over the past 34 years, CCF has quietly granted over $6.9 million to more than 8,000 Connecticut families dealing with the financial hardships while going through cancer treatment. In addition, the Foundation has donated more than $2.5 million to support ongoing cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

CCF has been operating for over 34 years under the guidance of Jane G. Ellis, President & Executive Director. CCF is overseen by an 8 member volunteer Board of Directors and an 16 member volunteer Advisory Board.
CCF supporters can be assured that their generous donations are most effectively being used to help ease the financial burdens of Connecticut families due to a cancer diagnosis.
